Call to the Wall
O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen on your walls; they will pray day and night, continually. Take no rest, all you who pray to the LORD.
– Isaiah 62:6
Everything we do flows from a place of prayer. Thus, we believe all are called to pray and this is the highest ministry responsibility any of us might have. Our goal is for our church to be a furnace of prayer as we continuously cry out for our community and beyond.
We invite all of the Body of Christ to come and pray with us. During this service we provide a nursery and children’s classes with prayer themes.
Call To the Wall is a weekly solemn assembly of worship and intercession.
Just as Jesus instructed his followers to have a prayer meeting in advance of the first church service at Pentecost (Acts 1-2), we also follow this pattern in making corporate prayer the principle, on-going activity of the church. Prayer is our highest ministry priority.
The Mountain Mover’s Prayer Group was established for one purpose: to pray what is on God’s heart. Therefore, this prayer meeting is prophetic—praying the heart of the Father, in the name of Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit.
No two meetings are ever the same.
God has called us to be a prophetic prayer group vs. a list-style prayer group.
1. John 5:19-20 19Jesus gave them this answer: “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. 20For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, to your amazement he will show him even greater things than these. (NIV)
2. Ps 25:14 The LORD confides in those who fear him; (NIV)
Note from NIV Study Bible: “Takes them into his confidence, as friends”.
To look into the spiritual realm (prophetic) and pray what is on God’s heart. (Leaving personal problems and agendas at the door.) Pray rather than teach/explain what is seen. To yield our vessels in a way that pleases the Father. (Personal examination and repentance may be the first area we pray.) Any of the following may also take place:
– Demonic forces may be revealed in various ways: spider, snake, rats, dragon, etc.
– Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7
4. Waiting on God
6. Reading and praying scripture
Pray until we have release. We may only pray one or two things. Note: This is not a time to tell long stories or dreams. (It may detract from the main goal: prayer.) If you’ve been given a vision, please be brief in any explanation, give the interpretation, and then pray what God is speaking to you. If the leader feels that someone in the group is getting off track of what God has established for us to pray, the leader will redirect and restate the established objective. Also, please be sensitive to how long you pray and allow time for everyone to be included—even those who are more quiet by nature.
The things we pray should be established by a witness of two or three. Note: Even though we are called to be a prophetic prayer group; that does not mean it is for the purpose of prophesying to others what the Lord has shown us. This may happen on occasion, as the Lord leads. The things the Lord confides in us are specifically for the purpose of prayer. Therefore, the things we pray may be confidential in nature. This is never for the purpose of gossiping or uncovering a person’s problem. Remember the way of Love. For God is love…
