Sundays at 10:30a and Wednesday at 6:30p

Letter From Leadership

We will meet this Sunday at our regularly scheduled time. Please keep in mind the need to continue to follow the guidelines previously published regarding Covid-19. We will have the church thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. We especially ask those who are in the vulnerable groups to follow the recommended safety guidelines. There will be areas in the sanctuary specifically arranged for those who want to sit alone. Wearing masks are optional and welcome for anyone who desires to do so. We will continue already in-place precautions for children and remind everyone to stay home if experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms. Finally, be sure to self-quarantine if exposed to someone who has tested positive.

In light of the recent cases, we are asking everyone to adhere to the following for the care and safety of our church family:

  1. Check-in Procedures:
  2. Families with children will continue to enter through the side/dining room door. (On Wednesday nights all will enter through the front door.)
  3. All others will enter through the front door.
  4. Social Distancing Guidelines (we realize this will be challenging, but we ask for all to do their best in respecting these guidelines):
  5. Distance: The recommended “social distance” of six feet is encouraged.
  6. Hugging and Handshakes: All should be sensitive to the desires or indicated preferences of others. The recommendation is to avoid such for the time being. (Thus, we are asking for no one to lay hands on others during ministry time until notified that this policy has changed.)
  7. Masks: The wearing of masks is the decision of each individual and family. We do highly recommend those who are elderly or more vulnerable to feel the freedom to wear masks. Criticism or judgement is not appropriate (Rom. 14).

  1. Sick Policy:
  2. We are asking all adults and children who have had a fever of 100.4, a cough, or shortness of breath in the past 72 hours prior to the service times to not attend services.
  3. If one child in the family has had a fever of 100.4, a cough, or shortness of breath in the past 72 hours, we ask that all children from that family unit not attend services.
  4. If you have had direct contact with someone who likely has or is confirmed to have COVID-19, we ask that you not attend services for 14 days after the time of direct contact, per CDC guidelines.
  5. If you have tested positive for COVID, we ask you to follow these guidelines from the CDC.

You can be around others after:

  1. 10 days since symptoms first appeared and
  2. 24 hours with no fever without the use of fever-reducing medications and
  3. Other symptoms of COVID-19 are improving

Thank you for caring for one another during this unprecedented season – it is this care which is allowing us to assemble together on a regular basis. God is undoubtedly moving, and whether in-person or through on-line, one thing we can all look forward to during this time is the River of God flowing in our midst!

In Christ,
